There is another Wrestlemania 37 rumor swirling around and it is regarding the NXT champion.
We are on the road to Wrestlemania 37 and WWE is pulling all stops to make the event as big as possible. It involves giving relevancy and prestige to the main championship of the developmental NXT brand. It is no surprise that NXT is the brainchild of HHH(WWE Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development). He would want to bring the brand into the fold and receive as much spotlight it could get.
Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley Opened Doors for NXT
The fact that we are even discussing NXT is due to Charlotte Flair. She won the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble and challenged the then NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley at Wrestlemania 36. The match was excellent and it made WWE consider to give more opportunity to NXT talent further.
Now with Edge visiting NXT and making his intentions known that he could challenge the winner of the NXT title match at Takeover. He made it clear that the winner of the match up should watch his back and that he could meet them at Wrestlemania 37.
However, it is more than likely that Edge will face either Drew McIntyre or Roman Reigns. Still, it doesn’t mean that Finn Balor or the next NXT champion won’t be getting an opportunity to showcase their talent at the big event on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL. However, it is still one of those Wrestlemania 37 rumor and nothing is official as of now.
It would be a breath of fresh air seeing some new NXT talent at Wrestlemania 37. Moreover, it will definitely grant relevancy to the title. We are still 64 days away from the grandest event of them all. However, the hype is real and things are heating up. New rivalries are forming, old partnerships are rekindling and our nostlagia is in for a real treat seeing Edge once again being a part of the main event at Wrestlemania.
